Description

Job Title: Logistics Officer

Salary: N80,000

Location: Lekki phase 1, Lagos

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Logistics Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing import and export operations.

Job Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate and complete documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, waybills, certificates of origin, store movement register, and shipping instructions.

· Enter and update shipping, customer, and cargo data into ERP systems or internal databases.

· Verify all data entries against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Track outbound shipments and provide real-time updates to clients and relevant departments.

· Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping lines to ensure timely cargo handling and delivery.

· Generate daily and weekly reports on operational activities, including shipment volumes, turnaround times, and error rates.

· Assist in compiling export statistics for management review and performance monitoring.

· Respond to internal and external inquiries related to shipment status, documentation, and logistics timelines.

· Support the Import, Export, Operations Managers, and operations team with administrative and coordination tasks.

· Responsible for tallying all shipments that come into the office before they are sorted.

· Responsible for data entry for US packages.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

· Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in export documentation, data entry, or international logistics (experience in a start-up is a plus).

· Strong knowledge of international trade documentation and export processes.

· Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

· Good understanding of Nigerian export laws and regulatory bodies (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, Customs).

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.

· Candidate must be well organized and able to keep accurate records.
