Job Overview:
The Kitchen Assistant will assist the kitchen staff with various tasks such as food preparation, cleaning, and ensuring the kitchen is organized. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of the kitchen, providing support to the chefs and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring spices.
• Help organize and maintain kitchen storage areas, including refrigerators, freezers, and pantries.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and utensils.
• Support the chefs in cooking and food preparation during peak hours.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils and ensure the kitchen is kept tidy.
• Assist in food plating and garnishing.
• Dispose of food waste and follow proper waste management procedures.
• Ensure proper food storage and labeling to prevent spoilage.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.
• Help in organizing inventory and assist with stock management.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and protocols.

Job Requirement:

• Prior kitchen experience or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
