Description

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Ikoyi/Hybrid

Compensation: Competitive base fee ₦200,000 - ₦300,000 + attractive commission on subscriptions and partnerships.

Reports To: BDM / CEO

Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract


Role Summary

We are seeking a driven and resourceful Business Development Executive (BDE) to accelerate growth through lead generation, partnerships, and sales conversions. The BDE will focus on identifying new business opportunities, onboarding vendors, driving subscriptions, and building strong client relationships to position us as the preferred platform for vendors and customers.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Business Growth & Sales

● Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase activations and subscriptions.

● Generate and qualify leads through field visits, networking, referrals, and digital outreach.

● Pitch our value proposition to vendors and potential partners.

● Convert leads into paying subscribers by guiding them through the onboarding process.

● Meet and exceed monthly sales and subscription targets.

2) Client Relations & Account Management

● Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to drive retention and renewals.

● Provide after-sales support to ensure smooth adoption of our platform.

● Gather feedback from vendors to improve products, services, and user experience.

3) Partnerships & Market Expansion

● Identify and engage potential partners (markets, trade associations, event organizers) to expand our reach.

● Represent us at activations, trade shows, and community events.

● Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns that drive subscriptions.

4) Reporting & Strategy

● Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and conversions.

● Provide weekly and monthly reports on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

● Suggest strategies to improve lead generation and subscription growth.

Job Requirements:

● HND/BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

● Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles.

● Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

● Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

● Familiarity with tech platforms, eCommerce, or subscription-based services is an advantage.

● Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
