Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to handle the sourcing and purchasing of goods for our supermarket. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the store is always well-stocked with the right products at the best possible prices while maintaining supplier relationships and adhering to budget controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, negotiate, and purchase goods from approved suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of all purchases, pricing, and inventory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Analyze market trends to forecast demand and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with the inventory and sales teams to ensure product availability
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply chain issues
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly
• Maintain procurement policies and ensure compliance with company guidelines

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in procurement, preferably in retail or FMCG
• Solid knowledge of sourcing and vendor management
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software
• Degree or HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
