Job Title: HR Manager
Salary: N300,000 - N400,000
Location: Port-Harcourt
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our dynamic team in Port Harcourt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, managing performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:

- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Design and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation processes for seamless integration into the company.
- Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Develop programs to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews and act on insights gathered.
- Performance Management & Development:
- Oversee the performance appraisal process and provide guidance on goal setting, feedback, and evaluations.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
- Implement succession planning and career development strategies.
- Policy Implementation & Compliance:
- Create, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including employee records, benefits, and insurance.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance processes in a fair and transparent manner.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.
- Prepare periodic HR reports for management decision-making.
- Coordinate payroll inputs and employee benefits administration.
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
Job Requirement:
- Educational Background:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) will be an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, handling employee relations, and managing recruitment life cycles.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and payroll software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint for HR reporting and presentations.
- Legal & Compliance Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws, HR regulatory frameworks, and compliance obligations.
- Experience managing employee files and compliance with statutory requirements like pensions, tax (PAYE), NHF, NSITF, and health insurance.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to resolve conflicts, lead meetings, and present HR strategies to management.
- Soft Skills:
- High level of emotional intelligence, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
